Nashville, TN – (October 8, 2015) – Warner Bros. Records’ Frankie Ballard
will rock around the Kalamazoo State Theatre with his 6th Annual
Country Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 19th in Kalamazoo, MI.
Bringing the spirit of the season to his hometown, all of the proceeds
from the show will benefit the Detroit chapter of Notes for Notes®,
a non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth with completely
free access to music instruments, instruction and recording studio
environments so that music may become a profoundly positive experience
in their lives.
“I’m
so proud to be partnering up with Notes for Notes this year at our
Christmas show,” shares Frankie Ballard. “All of the proceeds will go
towards beautiful music studios for youth to learn and enjoy. Hope to
bring home 2015 with you there, in Kalamazoo!”
The
highly-anticipated show will include performances of holiday classics
and Ballard’s chart-topping hits; “Helluva Life,” “Sunshine &
Whiskey” and “Young & Crazy.” Tickets will go on sale to the public
tomorrow, October 9th starting at 10:00 a.m. local time at www.FrankieBallard.com.
A
self-taught guitar ace, Ballard first supported Notes for Notes earlier
this year when he joined forces with the CMA Foundation, Chevrolet and
Warner Music Nashville to officially open a new recording studio at the
S.A.Y. Detroit PLAY Center in Detroit, near his hometown of Battle
Creek, MI.
Ballard
is currently working with producer Marshall Altman on his next
full-length album and is expected to release the lead track later this
year. The project is the follow-up to SUNSHINE & WHISKEY,
which delivered three consecutive #1 smashes – GOLD-certified hits
“Helluva Life,” “Sunshine & Whiskey” and the latest “Young &
Crazy” – and debuted Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart.
Playing over 400 shows across North America in the past two years, the “headliner in the making” (ROLLING STONE)
is currently on Florida Georgia Line’s 2015 ANYTHING GOES Tour and this
winter will join Randy Houser’s WE WENT Tour as direct support. He has
previously opened for Jake Owen, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Taylor
Swift and longtime idol Bob Seger.
Ballard
has made his mark on the Country music scene with selling more than 1.8
million tracks and tallying over 87 million total streams to date.
Moving to Nashville in 2009 to pursue music, he drew on his working
class values, performing every chance he could, honing his guitar and
songwriting skills. He steadily built a loyal fan base and took the time
to grow as an artist and an individual, defining his unique blend of
blues-infused, country rock which producer Marshall Altman captured
throughout the album SUNSHINE & WHISKEY. Racking up the media acclaim for his fresh sound and retro vibe, The TENNESSEAN has named Ballard “Country Music’s lovable renegade” while ROLLING STONE hailed him as “Required listening.”
