four nominations for the 2016 New Music
Weekly awards.
Coming
off a year in which critics were loud in their praise of her wise and sassy
“Bottle Your Crazy Up” and the equally sassy “Faith,” Carey is currently nominated for NMW’s Crossover Artist of
the Year, Country Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Adult Contemporary Breakthrough Artist of
the Year and Adult Contemporary Female Artist of the Year.“I’m
overwhelmed with gratitude—and excitement,” says the Ohio-born, Los Angeles-based
vocalist and songwriter who has also established a solid Nashville presence via
her performances at the top honky tonks there during Country Radio Seminar and the
CMA Music Festival.“Faith,”
Carey’s latest single, which she co-wrote with Kathryn Grimm, is a sisterly
boost to every woman who’s working overtime to try to get the wrong man’s
attention. With an impassioned vocal delivery and a hot pulsating backup
band Eileen implores the ladies to “have a little faith” in their own
merits. The single is
# 1 on NMW’s country chart and # 2 on the Adult/Contemporary chart.
At last
count, Carey’s popular YouTube channel had racked up more than 100,000 views and
is still growing.******* Please vote in the New Music Weekly Awards for Eileen in the four catagories by clicking on link http://newmusicweekly.com/?page_id=67190
