About Kaylee Rutland:

Kaylee Rutland’s music makes an unmistakable connection with listeners as evidenced by her tremendous social media following. She has been named a Country Living Magazine “Artist to Watch,” a Billboard Magazine “Top 10 Artists to Watch,” and was a finalist in the inaugural Nash Next competition. Additionally, Rutland had the opportunity to tour with Warner Music Nashville artist, RaeLynn. The young singer-songwriter recently released her new single, “Do You,” which is now available on iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon and Spotify. The inspiration for the song originated from an idea that Rutland had in wanting to instill a positive message in her younger sister as well as young listeners. “Do You” is intended to encourage young women that going outside the “status-quo” is something to be celebrated. Rutland’s latest EP, “That Side Of Me” focuses on the many different sides to Rutland’s music. Rutland’s first single off the EP, “Pick Me Up,” received significant airplay on Radio Disney Country. Growing up in Texas, country music made a lasting impact on her style, learning from the greats of Reba, Carrie Underwood, and Sara Evans. She was eight, when she first fell in love with singing, performing her first solo for a Christmas musical at her church, and by her teens, she was fully committed to writing her own songs.

Callista Clark Interview by Nigel Sharpe for Country Music News International

Every song has a story and at just 17 years old Callista Clark has a lot to say. Like Maren Morris, Jennifer Nettles, Tori Kelly, Ingrid Andress and so many talented singer/ songwriters that paved the way before her, the young songstress wields her creative gifts as both a defense and an instrument of peace as she puts her heart on display with her forthcoming debut collection Real To Me via Big Machine Records. Blending her love for authentic, timeless classics with the sounds of her Country roots which sprouted from her hometown of Zebulon, Georgia, Clark “puts a fresh spin on soul phrasing” (Billboard). Gearing up to release her debut music, she’s worked with many of Nashville’s leading songwriters including Jonathan Singleton, Laura Veltz, Nicolle Galyon, and Emily Shackleton, among others. The proof that Clark could hold her own among Nashville’s most prominent is evident in the feisty anthem of “Change My Mind,” the poignant and relatable truths of “Real to Me” and the declaration of confidence in “It’s Cause I Am.” It’s her ability to be both assertive yet vulnerable, and empowering while brutally honest that make Real to Me such an auspicious introduction. Her inspiring videos with which Scooter Braun (SB Projects) and Scott Borchetta (Big Machine Label Group) took notice, have amassed over 65 million views on Facebook and over 6 million views on YouTube.

Teddi and Bobby Cyrus Interview by Nigel Sharpe for Country Music News International

Bobby Cyrus is no stranger to the many facets of the music industry, having quite literally grown up with it all around him in the little town of Louisa, Kentucky. His father, Bobby “Bob” Glenn Cyrus, is who Bobby says influenced him as an artist and songwriter more than anyone else.

Teddi Leigh Cyrus grew up in the hills of East Kentucky, in the tiny little town of Drift. Teddi first began singing with her family in her Papaw, Teddy Shannon’s church. She came by her talent honestly, with her Mother being both a pianist and vocalist, and her Father being a multi-instrumentalist.

Sacha Interview by Savina Todorova for Country Music News International

Sacha has got the unfailingly positive outlook on life and better experiences after fall downs. She grew up in the tiny village of Warkworth, Ontario. With the rolling, rural hills of Ontario as a backdrop, and a family of musicians who ensured that music was a part of everyday life during home rehearsals, backyard bonfire parties, and gigs at the local Legion Hall, Sacha says: “Music contributed to my life in so many ways, it’s no wonder I chose it as a career.”

Since the independent EP The Best Thing in July 2020, Sacha has been featured as iHeart Radio’s ‘Future Star’, racked up adds on every Pure Country Radio Station in Canada, and on the highly influential, US-based Radio Disney with her latest single, ‘Standards’. Additionally, ‘Standards’ charted both the Top 50 Canadian Country Billboard and Top 40 Mediabase Canadian Country charts and boasts over 400,000 Spotify plays.

Todorova: Please tell us about the single most played by radio (influences, etc).

Sacha: “Standards” has been the most played single off of my EP. I won the IHeart Radio Future Star where my song hit all the Pure Country radio stations across Canada, which then led to more stations adding Standards to rotation. The single has achieved my first top 40 on the charts, and first top 50 on the Canadian Country Billboard Charts.

Chevel Shepherd Interview by Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International

Chevel first charmed America in 2018, as the champion of season 15 of The Voice, nurtured by coach Kelly Clarkson. She spent the following year checking off a long list of red-letter firsts, including opening shows for Clarkson, Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne, Lee Brice, and more, along with singing the national anthem before the Indianapolis 500.

Lamitschka: Please tell us about the songs on your album EVERYBODY’S GOT A STORY (influences, etc).

Shepherd: Each song is different and represents who I am as a person and as a country artist. I grew up admiring female artists like Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker and The Chicks. I love classic country music and my EP leans into those traditional sounds and the genre’s legacy of storytelling.
