Directed
by Justin Clough and shot near Leiper’s Fork, TN, the eight-minute
short film shows a young vet returning home from war – but try as he
might, it’s like a piece of it followed him home. With Wallen’s emotive
vocal acting as a soul-stirring narrator, the clip digs deep into the
prices paid by service members and their families, with understanding
and love ultimately helping lead toward recovery. But as it does in real
life, the battle for a happy ending rages on.
Wallen first covered Jason Isbell’s gripping “Cover Me Up” in late 2018,
and his version has quickly become a fan favorite with nearly 20
MILLION streams on Spotify alone. Meanwhile, his grooving latest single,
“Chasin’ You,” is cruising through Country radio’s Top 50, with no stop
sign in sight.
Wallen is currently on the road rocking sold-out crowds on Luke Combs
BEER NEVER BROKE MY HEART tour and will end that run with back-to-back
sellouts at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on December 12 – 13. The
breakout artist will then launch his headlining MONSTER ENERGY OUTBREAK
TOUR PRESENTS: MORGAN WALLEN’S WHISKEY GLASSES ROADSHOW on January 2 in
Grand Rapids, MI. Featuring special guests Jon Langston and Ashland
Craft, tickets for the nationwide trek are on sale now.
