The tracks “Some Days” and “Windradyne” also took home Song of the Year and Heritage Song of the Year respectively.

Cassar-Daley’s journey began at a young age. At just 11, he attended the Tamworth Country Music Festival, returning the following year to busk on the streets. By 16, he was touring the North Coast of New South Wales with his band, Little Eagle, and achieving recognition in the Tamworth Toyota Star Maker Quest. His early success in the “Search for a Star” competition and subsequent tour with Brian Young further honed his songwriting skills. He later took over as the leader of The Blue Heeler Band, solidifying his presence in the Australian country music scene.

His impressive list of awards includes 45 CMAA Golden Guitars, 3 APRA Awards, 9 Deadly Awards, 6 Mo Awards, 2 National Indigenous Awards, 1 Queensland Music Award, and 5 ARIA Music Awards.

Cassar-Daley’s discography is extensive, showcasing his evolution as an artist.
