The Future of Country Takes Center Stage: Lauren Alaina to Reveal Major ACM Winners at CRS 2026 New Faces Show

By Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine

For over 50 years, the New Faces of Country Music® Show has served as the ultimate litmus test for stardom in the country music industry. As the grand finale of the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) 2026, this year’s event promises to be a historic evening, blending the celebration of emerging talent with the recognition of the industry’s most influential voices.

Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) has officially announced that multi-platinum artist Lauren Alaina will take the stage on Friday, March 20, for one of the night’s most prestigious segments: the reveal of the final ACM Radio Award winners.

A Night of High Stakes and National Honors

The partnership between CRS and the Academy of Country Music (ACM) ensures that the New Faces program remains a vital platform for the entire industry. During the show, Lauren Alaina will unveil the winners for:

  • National On-Air Personality of the Year – Daily

  • National On-Air Personality of the Year – Weekly

These announcements complete the full slate of ACM Radio Awards, following the reveal of Station of the Year and On-Air Personality of the Year earlier in the week at CRS Honors. Additionally, the evening will feature the CRS/Country Aircheck Awards, celebrating the innovation and leadership that keep the country radio format thriving.

Honoring Humanitarian Spirit

Philanthropy remains at the heart of the CRS mission. The 2026 Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award—which recognizes exceptional service and leadership within the country radio community—will be presented during the gala. This year’s honoree will be introduced by Brent Michaels, a 2023 recipient and current CRB Board member.

Meet the New Faces Class of 2026

The core of the evening is the performance showcase, featuring a curated lineup of artists who have been identified by radio programmers and industry tastemakers as the next generation of superstars.

This year’s performing class includes:

  • Kelsey Hart: Known for her soulful storytelling and breakout viral hits.

  • Ella Langley: A powerhouse vocalist blending rock edge with traditional country roots.

  • Chase Matthew: An independent force turned major-label standout with a massive digital following.

  • John Morgan: A prolific songwriter-turned-artist with a knack for blue-collar anthems.

  • Meghan Patrick: A multi-award-winning Canadian powerhouse making massive waves in the US.

  • Josh Ross: An artist defined by his emotive delivery and chart-topping momentum.

Returning to guide the evening is award-winning broadcaster Elaina Smith. As the host of Nights with Elaina and the Breaking Thru with Elaina podcast, Smith’s deep industry ties make her the perfect moderator for such a pivotal night.

Mission-Driven Music: Supporting St. Jude

Beyond the awards and performances, the New Faces of Country Music® Show continues its vital partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. Co-partnered by the ACM, the event highlights St. Jude’s mission to ensure that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food while fighting childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
