Single Review: Tecia McKenna – Take Your Trouble With You
by Ritchie Ritchison for Country Music News International
If you like your music with a shuffle then you will like Tecia McKenna’s new single “Take Your Trouble With You”. Tecia had left the music business for a while and came roaring back onto the scene in 2019 with her single “I Won’t Play Second Fiddle”. Testing the waters with that one song. The overwhelmingly positive response gave Tecia the drive to go forward again with her career releasing an album of Americana songs and another country single “Quarantine Me Down in Texas” with legendary shuffle master Lonnie Spiker. Garnering numerous award nominations and substantial radio airplay Tecia needed something she could follow up that success with. “Take Your Trouble With You” belies its title being a song about hope, renewal and the chance to start anew. With great fiddle and steel and a nice two steppin’ feel Tecia’s vocals lend just the right amount of earnestness to the lyrics while retaining the strength to see things through to a hopeful ending. If you are a fan of the “real thing” when it comes to country music then Tecia McKenna’s music is just what you need
