(Nashville, TN – 05/17/2011) The Nashville affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, a national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach and advocacy for a cure, has publicly announced details for their Night Of Hope 2011 event.
The Night of Hope 2011 event is planned by local volunteers and is open to the public and will take place
on May 26, 2011 at Nashville’s City Club located at 201 Fourth Ave North, 20th Floor in Nashville, TN.
Doors for the event open at 5:30 PM.
The gala will feature a silent auction and live entertainment by pop/country artist Suzi Oravec all in an effort to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research.
Oravec, who lost her mother in 2007 to pancreatic cancer, says on the importance of supporting this event and what it means to perform at it to her, “It’s extremely hard to go through losing someone you love to such a terrible disease. I want to be there to relate, support, and encourage the community. The fact that I get to do that through music is such a blessing. I know my mom will be looking down and cheering us all on!”
