TEXICANA COUNTRY ARTIST STEPHANIE URBINA JONES PUTS FIERY MARIACHI SPIN ON “FELIZ NAVIDAD” CLASSIC
SENDS HOLIDAY WISHES WITH NEW Feliz Navidad, Y’all RELEASE

Stephanie Urbina Jones

NASHVILLE, TN – November 10, 2015 — Following the release of her Fiery Angel CD, Latin country artist Stephanie Urbina Jones brings her passion to Feliz Navidad Y’all,
a wonder-filled, 12-song holiday album bursting with Christmas cheer.
Showcasing her Hispanic American roots with a fresh, fun mariachi
country spin on the classic “Feliz Navidad,” the collection is a ride
through the musical landscape that spans country to gospel, from
intimate and moving originals to familiar classics, all reflective of
the Texas soul Jones brings to her music.
Jones is a #1 Billboard songwriter, and the first female independent artist to go #1 in the history of the Texas Music Chart. Feliz Navidad, Y’all will be released November 20 on iTunes and all digital service providers worldwide.
While Feliz Navidad, Y’all
was initially planned to be a simple guitar/vocal album, one could say
that the spirit of Christmas intervened to insist on something much
more.
It
all started late one night after a gig in Plano, Texas, some years
ago.  Jones and her band were staying with some friends who asked her to
record a Christmas album, promising to buy 150 copies if she did. Jones
immediately declined the offer, but went to bed feeling strangely
inspired and inclined to at least consider the idea. After saying a few
prayers for guidance, she fell asleep. The next morning, she awoke to
pen the first of five original Christmas songs.
Those
five originals – the moving “The Spirit of Christmas (Espiritu de
Navidad),” the evocative “You Light Me Up,” the inspiring “One Little
Boy,” the seductive “Sexy, Saucy, Sometimes Naughty Time of Year” and
the uplifting gospel of “Hallelujah Chorus” – add Texicana flair to Feliz Navidad, Y’all
that separates it from the rest of the flurry of holiday releases.
Jones has seamlessly woven her Latin roots with the universal appeal of
timeless classics like “Silver Bells,” “Silent Night,” “Santa Claus is
Coming to Town” and “Winter Wonderland.” Laced with mandolins, piano,
guitar, bass, drums, accordions and, of course, a few mariachi trumpets,
Jones sprinkles a little Norah Jones-inspired bare-bones flavor to take
her audience on a journey, complete with snow and sleigh bells, that
will put anyone in the holiday spirit. Jones has put a fresh, fiery and
fun spin on the Jose Feliciano classic and single, “Feliz Navidad.” Its
joyful sound sets the tone for the entire release, ready to start toes
a-tappin’ and boots a-scootin’.
The release of Feliz Navidad, Y’all caps
a couple of years of unequaled career success for Jones. Heavily
focused on sharing her bicultural roots and bringing people together
through her music, she has taken her Latin-style country music to eight
countries, including stages at the prominent Montreux Jazz Festival in
Switzerland, Country Gold in Japan, Magic Town Music Fest in Mexico,
Americana Cavalcade in UK and the Craponne Country Rendezvous in France.
Fans around the world have embraced her unique Texicana brand. Their
encouragement was the inspiration to record and release the single,
“Feliz Navidad.”
This year has already turned out to be a stellar one for Jones. Craig Wayne Boyd, the victor of the Emmy-winning show The Voice, recorded her song, “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard
Hot Country Songs chart. It became only the second song to debut at #1
in that chart’s history. Jones also released her aptly-titled Fiery Angel
collection, and sat in with The Time Jumpers in Nashville. Jones
current single, ” Bring It Back To The Heartland,” is climbing the
charts in Texas.

This
Christmas season, Jones is looking forward to working with the Texas
Heritage Music Foundation in December to share the magic of Christmas as
she visits nursing homes, children’s hospitals, homeless shelters,
veterans and special needs homes and orphanages, bringing her joy, love
and the true spirit of Christmas to those in need.
“It’s
all part of the flow,” she says. “I am so grateful and honored to give
back all the faith, joy, compassion and love that I’ve been given.
“I always start and end every show with ‘Feliz Navidad.’ With the release of Feliz Navidad, Y’all, now I can leave them with something to listen to, every Christmas from here on out.”
Spirited
and fun, yet intimate and personal, Jones reaches her audience in all
the right ways. Warm and inviting like cozying up to the fireside,
whether you’re in the mood for Christmas cheer, holiday romance, or
sacred reflection, Feliz Navidad, Y’all is the perfect accompaniment to your seasonal celebrations.
Jones
will take the stage in Nashville with rock soul sister Sherrie Phillips
on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 9 p. m. at 3rd & Lindsley.  For more
