York, ME – November 14, 2011 – Songwriter/performer, Skyler, released a new digital EP titled “Take You Away – Nashville Remixes”. This exclusive EP features fans’ favorite tracks including his hit “Stephanie” remixed country style. Recorded at the famous Blackbird Studio in Nashville, TN earlier this year, Skyler’s latest release is available on iTunes and Amazon.com.
As a “Thank You” to his local following, Skyler is giving his fans an opportunity to help him plan his first ever House Concert tour this Fall. The tour is only open in select counties around Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire where fans can register their homes for a private performance. He will travel to the fans’ hometowns and treat their attending guests to an intimate acoustic show right in their very own living room. The tour will expand into other counties around New England early next year.
Recently, Skyler was hand-picked to be a part of this year’s Act Out Loud: Raising Voices for Safe Teen Driving (AOL). This contest was created by The Allstate Foundation and National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) to promote and honor of National Youth Traffic Safety Month (NYTSM) in May 2012. AOL is a national teen-led and school-based activism competition to encourage youth to lead campaigns raising awareness around the importance of stronger teen driving laws at a state and national level. The grand prize winner will be awarded $10,000 and a private concert from Skyler. Channel One, the leading television news network for teens, will promote the contest on its award winning daily broadcast and tape a broadcast at the winning school, which will be seen by an audience of nearly six million young people in middle schools and high schools across the country. Registration is open at www.ActOutLoud.org now through January 13, 2012.
