Scotty McCreery Named One of Billboard‘s 21 Under 21

Scotty McCreery has been named one of Billboard.com’s ’21 Under 21.’
Scotty comes in at No. 4 on the annual list, the same position he held
last year. The list is made up of a young batch of stars who aren’t old
enough to uncork a bottle of champagne but who have hit records,
millions of fans and success elder artists dream of.
Scotty made the list thanks in part to having the best first-week sales
tally of 2011 in the country genre with the release of his debut album,
Clear As Day. He’s picked up an Academy of Country Music Award for New
Artist of the Year and has developed a large and loyal fan base, thanks
in part to his time on American Idol. He’ll release his first Christmas
album, Christmas With Scotty McCreery, October 16.
