ROCK ‘N’ HORSE SALOON SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES FIRST COUNTRY COUNTY FAIR
PARTIAL PROCEEDS DONATED TO CANADA’S MUSICOUNTS

Toronto, ON – On February 16, Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon hosted its first ever Country County Fair in the heart of downtown Toronto. The evening kicked off with a live music performance courtesy of Shanya Lynn and Homegrown,
and featured various on-site activities including a strongman game,
balloon darts, bazooka ball shoot out and of course plenty of line
dancing and mechanical bull rides. With the first instalment under its
belt, Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon looks forward to hosting a second edition on
Sunday, May 18 (Victoria Day Long Weekend). Tickets can be bought in advance or at the door, and all
proceeds go to MusiCounts,
Canada’s music education charity associated with The Canadian Academy
of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and the Canadian Country Music
Association (CCMA).

“We are thrilled that
our first Country County Fair was such a great success,” says Matthew
Gibbons (President, MRG Ventures). “It’s awesome to be able to offer
Country fans a fun long weekend activity and support a great cause like
MusiCounts. We are really looking forward to the next event.”

Last
December, Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon opened its doors as Toronto’s newest
Country bar, restaurant and live music venue. Capturing the spirit of
southern hospitality, it’s the ideal place for patrons to kick back and
enjoy themselves in western style comfort. Offering up a mouth-watering
menu and interactive themed activities, Rock ‘n’ Horse has become a
prime destination for Country music lovers living in the big city.

The
Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon coincides with MRG Ventures’ continuing journey
into the music scene in Canada. In 2009, the company purchased and
renovated Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre, which was voted CMW’s Best Performing Arts Centre of the Year – Capacity Under 1,500 (2013).
This success led to the opening of Adelaide Hall in Toronto, which has
already been voted one of the city’s Best Live Music Venues by BlogTO.
In mid 2013, MRG Ventures opened Hideaway Records & Bar in London,
making the Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon the latest addition to their group of
cutting edge music venues and bars.
