“What
a ride this project has been!! I’m so blessed to have worked with an
incredible team of people during this journey leading up to my EP
release; it was nothing short of amazing during the entire recording
process,” enthuses Gibson. “This EP covers all ranges of emotions and
genres bordering country music right now. I’m so excited to finally
release to the public what I’ve been working so hard on for the last
year and a half. I hope you enjoy the new music and will continue to
follow me on my music journey. My new survival kit? Spare guitar strings
and coffee.”

This year Gibson placed in the Top 6 of the CCMA Discovery Program and was selected as one of the Top 10 for the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Program. In both 2014 and 2015, Gibson was the first ballot nominee for the Female Vocalist of the Year Award by the British Columbia Country Music Association.
Gibson’s
interest in music began at the age of three, when she began to play
songs by ear on the piano. At 15 she began to play the guitar, and once
again found herself able to play with proficiency. Gibson first gained
widespread attention over social media, by posting videos of herself
singing. In 2013, her cover of Carrie Underwood’s song “Good Girl” was
re-posted by the country superstar. As Gibson’s online presence began to
draw more attention, she began to land performance opportunities
alongside country musicians such as Aaron Pritchett, Tyler Ward and Wes
Mack. She recently performed at an after-party for stars Florida Georgia
Line in Kamloops, BC, at Boots and Hearts Festival and in Halifax
during Country Music Week for the Discovery Showcase.
