MOONLIGHT SOCIAL COVERING GROUND IN NATIONAL CONTEST PARTICIPATION
Wins Final Four Slot in Austin, Advances in Indstruktibl Clothing Bracket
Austin, TX – Moonlight Social, the dynamic country music duo made up of former University of Texas bandmates Jeremy Burchard and Jennica Scott, invites your participation as they proceed to the next rounds of The Recording Conservatory of Austin’s (TRCoA) “Unsigned Artists Competition,” and Indstruktibl Clothing’s “IND Phenom 2014 Talent Search.”
Moonlight Social,
the only country band to win a coveted final four slot in TRCoA’s
challenge, ranked second of 25 finalists and are promoting two
studio-based videos for their songs “The Better Part” and “Brothers”
to win a $2,000 cash prize, 100 studio hours, a consultation with a
well-known entertainment attorney and more. The decision is made up of
equal votes by a panel of industry judges (50%) and by fan interaction
(50%); the final ranking will be announced Monday, November 10th, 2014. The videos for “The Better Part” and “Brothers” are now available to view on YouTube.

Advancing past the first round of the tournament-style Indstruktibl Clothing “IND Phenom 2014 Talent Search,” voting for Moonlight Social during the next West Division bracket position commences on November 18, 2014. Moonlight Social, which was handpicked alongside 23 other artists/bands, is competing for a sponsorship with Indstruktibl Clothing, cash and other great prizes.
“Being selected from thousands of other bands in these competitions is incredible,” Burchard stated. “Seeing
so many fans, industry folk, and companies alike react so positively to
our music is exciting and lets us know our hard work is paying off!
Being one of the only country bands in each of these competitions is
just the cherry on top.”

shows a penchant for flowing melodies, poignant lyrics and powerful
vocals and offers a sound that is wholly accessible yet undeniably
refreshing. Since being founded in early 2011, they released a debut
self-produced EP (May 2011), received glowing reviews for the
full-length debut Heading South produced by Matt Noveskey
(Blue October’s bassist), and been rewarded with numerous,
career-changing opportunities. Included in these achievements are: a
SXSW showcase as selected by nine-time GRAMMY-winner Ray Benson, winning
a GRAMMY-sponsored showcase from the board of governors for the Texas
Chapter of The Recording Academy, beating out nearly 100 Austin bands to
win the 2011 Austin Chronicle Sound Wars, being crowned the victor of the GRAMMY-sponsored“Show Us Your Hits” competition, and having the song “Neither Are You” chosen as judge’s selection for the Indaba Music songwriting showcase.

In 2013, Moonlight Social was named one of the Best New Bands in Austin and was featured as a rising artist on Nashville-produced TV show, “Welcome To Indie Country.” In 2014 the duo graced the stage of the sold-out Country USA Festival in Wisconsin, represented Texas at Indie Week Canada 2014, and is touring to Georgia to play Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Social Club.
