  1. Lamitschka:  How was the last year for you? What were your highlights?

Answer:  This past year has been wonderful and challenging all at the same time. After moving from NYC to Nashville I had to adjust to an entire new way of life. Since arriving in town I have been able to make my way into the Nashville scene. I have had many incredible co-writing opportunities and am performing weekly at different writers rounds. One particular highlight was being able to perform my last single, “Me Too” on a segment of WSMV’s show Today In Nashville. My latest song “Only Human” is gaining traction and making my heart happy. For this song I was able to accomplish one of my life goals, dancing in my own music video. It’s been a great year so far and and there’s still so much ahead.

2.  Lamitschka:  Do you write the songs yourself? If not, how do you go about finding the songs for your CD?

Answer: I write all of the songs that I record! The great thing about Nashville is that I can write with three different writers in one week and get three totally different songs. All of my new material are products of Nashville co-writes!

3. Lamitschka:  How much creative control do you have over your music?

Answer:  Overall, I have 100% creative control over my music. I get to call the shots which is amazing and not the case for all artists. I also enjoy letting that control go and seeing what someone else will bring to the table. I find the best material is created in those situations !

4. Lamitschka:  Who inspires you musically and how deep do your musical roots run?

Answer: Musicians like Brandi Carlile, Carole King, and Andy Grammer all inspire me in different ways. Each of them are so uniquely themselves and never try to be anything else. Brandi creates an inclusive environment within her music. Carole King was a trailblazer as a young woman in the industry years ago. While Andy Grammer chooses to write about love and happiness which I so closely relate to.

5. Lamitschka:  What inspired you to become a songwriter?

Answer:  The want to share my story is what inspired me to become a songwriter. I love telling stories and the great thing about music is that you can do that in a way that relates to so many people.

6. Lamitschka:  What’s unique about you that will differentiate you from other artists?

Answer:  What makes me different is that I know there are plenty of incredibly talented artists and amazing voices out there and, believe it or not, some are a lot better than me! But I am passionate and driven and determined to make a difference in this world through music. I love what I do and I believe there is an audience out there that will love it as well.

7. Lamitschka:  What has been your greatest challenge in music business?

Answer: The greatest challenge for me in the music industry is to to focus on my own journey and not compare myself to other artists. It is easy to get caught up in other performers successes and failures instead of just staying true to myself. It is easy to try to fit into a certain mold but if you’re not authentic then people see thought it and it is reflected in your music. Thankfully I am surrounded by people who believe in me and my music!

8. Lamitschka:  Is there anything in your life that you would change if you could?

Answer: If I could change one thing in my life it would be to have my Dad here with me. He passed away 7 years ago and I would love for him to see how much I’ve grown as a person and as an artist. He always supported me and would be happy that I am following my dream. I know he would be at the front of the stage dancing like crazy and cheering me on!

9. Lamitschka:  What hopes and desires do you have?

Answer: As a singer/songwriter,I want to continue creating music that speaks to people. Music has always been an outlet for me. I want my music to do that for other people as well! I also would like to get the message of my song to reach a broader audience and continue this wonderful journey of life.

10. Lamitschka:  What has been the biggest disappointment in your life?

Answer: I used to think the biggest disappointment in my life was when I didn’t get the part I wanted in a play or when my Instagram post didn’t get enough likes. What I realize now is how unimportant that all is. Now I’m disappointed that I need to even write songs like Only Human or Me Too. I would love to be a part of the change to eliminate that disappointment.
