 Lamitschka:  How was the last year for
you? What were your highlights?

 

Answer:  Last year was
quite a stark change to this year. My husband and I enjoyed traveling to Italy
on vacation and were super busy performing in concert. We loved Italy and hope
to return someday.

 

Lamitschka:  What is your
latest CD and how’s it doing?

 

Answer:  My latest cd is
“Old Soul”. It won’t be officially out till Sept. 18 but the pre orders are
going quite well.

 

Lamitschka:  How did you
choose the title for the CD?  Is there a story behind the name?

 

Answer:  I had finished
recording all of the songs for the cd. They are all covers of soulful songs
that I had grown up listening to. I woke up after having a dream of what to
call my new music and the phrase OLD SOUL was in my mind upon wakening.  It fit the project so well and also describes
my personality

 

 Lamitschka:  What is the difference
between your last CD and your current one?

 

Answer:  my cd prior to
this was all original songs that I wrote called “Obsession”. this cd “Old Soul”
is a collection of all cover tunes and songs that I’ve always loved growing up

 

 Lamitschka:  You did a duet with Olivia
Newton- John. How did that happen to come about.

 Answer: Olivia is a longtime friend and
supporter of my music. She asked when I was recording again and I told her I
was planning on doing a remake of “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart”. and asked
if she’d join me. She met me in the Palms studio in Las Vegas .. This track in
on my “Throwback” album

 

Lamitschka:  How much
creative control do you have over your music?

 

Answer:  I am in total
control over my music and it feels wonderful being able to just create without
restrictions

 

Lamitschka:  Do you have
any interesting stories about how fans have been affected by your music?

 

Answer:  I was very moved
when a fan wrote to tell me she played a song I wrote called “I’m Not Going
Anywhere” for her dying husband and it calmed them as he passed.

 

Lamitschka:  As an
artist, you so many tasks such as recording, touring, interviews. What do you
like best, what’s your favorite activity?

 

Answer:  My favorite
thing in the world is to record with the best musicians in the business

 

Lamitschka:  What
inspired you to become an artist?

 

Answer:  Being raised
around the great Conway Twitty I was able to see how he loved his fans and
watch him perform from a backstage angle. It was fascinating to me and I wanted
that life for myself.

 

Lamitschka:  What
inspired you to become a songwriter?

 

Answer:  Well, the words
and music just come to me in my sleep and I wake up to them mostly being
written in my head. God inspires my songs. I can’t take any credit

 

Lamitschka:  What moments
in your career stand out in your memory as highlights and achievements which
you are proud of?

 

Answer:  I am grateful
that Sir Barry Gibb asked me to sing “Islands In The Stream” with him to honor
Kenny Rogers as he was being inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame. It
was a night to remember

 

Lamitschka:  When you get
time off, how do you like to relax?

 

Answer:  I love to be in
my swimming pool to relax. It’s like a fine wine

 

Lamitschka:  Is there any
place you haven’t played that you would like to?

 

Answer:I’d love to perform at
the Paris Opera House

 

Lamitschka:  What’s the
best compliment a fan has ever given you?

 

Answer:  I blush when
fans say I look like Elizabeth Taylor 

 

Lamitschka:  What message
would you like to send your European fans?

 

Answer:  I love Europe
and the fans I have there. I can’t wait to perform more in your beautiful
countries.
