New Single Available Now From Big High Five Records

Nashville, TN (July 30, 2012) – Big High Five Records is pleased to announce the release of “Love Is a Trip,”* the sophomore single from John Maison. This country-rocker was written by Grammy-winner Craig Wiseman (“Live Like You Were Dying,” “The Good Stuff”) and Grammy-nominee Lee Miller (“You’re Gonna Miss This,” “In Color,” “The Impossible”) and produced by the Emmy-nominated Ray Barnette. The single is available now through Play MPE.
A follow up to Maison‘s debut single “Fast Enough,” this
latest effort from the Michigan native is an up-tempo musical journey
through life and love that is sure to heat up the airwaves.
You can hear the fun we had in making the track when you crank it up and listen, said Maison. “We’ve
all been on love’s rollercoaster! It’s a ride with lots of ups and
downs, breakin’ up, makin’ up,… this song covers that whole trip.
Definitely not your classic love song!”
Nominated for an Emmy for his musical contribution to NBC’s Today show, producer Ray Barnette worked alongside Billy Dean on his Asylum-Curb project, Let Them Be Little. A strong supporter, Barnette says of Maison, “He
is one of the most focused artists I’ve worked with in a long time.
Here’s a guy who knows who he is and where he’s going. I’m glad to be
along for the ride.”
Programmers have weighed in on the single with early praise:
is an IT song! Life is a journey and Maison’s begins with this trip. It
got the phones ringin’ for a week after they played it live. Now…
finally, I can deliver what my listeners want!”
