Myers Interview Part 5 by Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News

Lamitschka:  When you’re on tour, do you have time to
play tourist?

Answer:  I always like to go to a town a day early to
get acquainted with the surroundings and enjoy the sites and local fare.

Lamitschka:  Do fans mob you everywhere you go or do
they respect your privacy?

Answer:  Ha! Ha! Most don’t even know who I am.

Lamitschka:  Many music fans today get their
information about artists online. Do you have your own website and what will
fans find there?

Answer:  Folks can find info at
www.frankmyersmusic.com.

Lamitschka:  Tell us about the fan club and how
people can join it.

Answer:  I don’t currently have a fan club.

Lamitschka:  What’s the best compliment a fan has
ever given you?

Answer: It’s a big
compliment when someone shares their story about what a song means to them
personally.

Lamitschka:  What’s your favorite song that you wish
you could have recorded?

Answer:  There’s too many to list, but “Lying Eyes“
is one I would have liked to record!

Lamitschka:  What message would you like to send your
European fans?

Answer:  Please go to my website and check out the
music; friend me on Instagram and Facebook. I hope I get to meet you in the
future.

Lamitschka:  How do you feel about being winning the Grammy?  What has it done for your career?

Answer:  Winning a Grammy was a blessing; it took my
career to a new level.

Lamitschka:  Fans are always hungry for good road
stories. Do you have one you can share with us (come on don’t be shy)?

Answer:  The craziest one for me would be the time I
was in Branson at The Roy Clark Theater with Marie Osmond. After the show, I
was hanging out at the bar with an old friend from Nashville and he started
buying rounds of Tequila. After about seven or eight shots, I decided it was a
good time to go back to the room. I went to bed and then must have gotten up to
use the restroom. Instead of heading
toward the bathroom door, I headed out the door into the hallway. The next
thing I remember, I was on the elevator wearing nothing but my underwear. I
don’t know how I ended up on the elevator, but I finally found my room. The look
on bandmate’s face when he opened the door was priceless. Marie’s room was just down the hall; lucky
for me, she didn’t see any of this. I think this is the first time I’ve told
this story! Maybe I shouldn’t have. LOL

Lamitschka:  Describe what a perfect day is like for
you.

Answer:  I love waking up at 5:30 or 6AM, making my
first cup of coffee and spending my time with the Lord in prayer. Then, I might
eat breakfast, go workout or take a three or four-mile walk with my wife and
dogs. I spend the day running some errands, come back home and answer emails
etc., watch TV, read or work on a new song.  That’s the long and the short of a perfect
day.

Lamitschka:  Most careers don’t last as long as
yours.  What’s given your career the staying power?

Answer:  I would have to say that everything I do I
try to do the best that I can. I try to write songs that mean something to
someone and that will stand the test of time event after I’m gone. All I can
say is, it was and has always been God’s will and divine intervention that has
been the compass in my career. I’m not and never have been in control. I work
as hard as I can and put everything else in HIS hands.
