DYLAN SCOTT WELCOMES 2017 WITH BIG STATS, RISING PROFILE

COUNTRY HEARTTHROB DYLAN SCOTT WELCOMES 2017 WITH BIG STATS, RISING PROFILE
Passes 1 Million In Stream Equivalent Songs, Climbing Chart With New Single “My Girl”
Sells Out Shows In Pittsburgh and Cincinnati
Nashville, Tenn. (January 19, 2017) – Curb Records’ recording artist Dylan Scott is set to make 2017 his breakout year, starting off strong with impressive new stats and a red-hot single.
Featuring
his rumbling vocals and a romantically-charged real-life love story,
Scott’s current single “My Girl” has now surpassed 1 million stream
equivalent songs (SES), a combination of on-demand streaming and digital
downloads. “My Girl” has been streamed over 19 million times on Spotify
alone, with SES having topped 300,000. Radio listeners have also taken
notice, boosting the song to #34 on Country Aircheck’s MediaBase Country Radio Airplay chart – the highest position of Scott’s career to date.
Written
by the Louisiana native about the woman who became his wife, Scott says
the tender story behind “My Girl” was “10 years in the making,” going
back to when the couple first started dating in high school. It mixes
intensity and tenderness, and Scott’s romantic authenticity continues to
resonate with country fans. He and Blair Anderson were married in May
of 2016.
Meanwhile,
the rising star has also carried a strong touring presence into the New
Year. After making his Grand Ole Opry debut and wrapping a successful
opening spot on Lee Brice’s LIFE OFF MY YEARS Tour in 2016, Scott went
on to perform in excess of 130 shows. He is currently playing select
headline dates, and his first run of 2017 shows sold out in the key
markets of Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
Likewise,
Scott’s self-titled album has continued to gather momentum. Released
last summer to a Top 5 debut, it has gone on to help Scott rack up a
total of 39 million radio plays on Pandora and over 70 million on-demand
steams on services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Upon its release, Sounds Like Nashville called the album “well rounded and genre-bending,” while Taste of Country noted “the 13-track album is versatile, combining Scott’s love of traditional country with distinct pop and urban influences.”
With
nationwide concert dates scheduled through the summer, Scott will visit
cities large and small in 2017 – from New York City to Peru, Nebraska.
ABOUT DYLAN SCOTT:
A Louisiana native with a lifelong passion for country music, Dylan
Scott is the total package – a powerful singer with a deep, resonating
drawl; an old-soul songwriter with a young spirit; a heartthrob with an
easy smile; and a dreamer who followed his father’s footsteps to
Nashville. Prior to landing his record deal, Scott learned the basics of
singing and playing guitar from his dad – a former guitar player for
country legends Freddy Fender and Freddy Hart. He then launched onto the
country music scene in 2013 with “Making This Boy Go Crazy,” the debut
single from his self-titled EP. His follow up, the infectious “Crazy
Over Me,” debuted at #14 at on the Billboard Country Digital Song Sales chart and hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. And in the summer of 2016, he released his debut album, DYLAN SCOTT,
on Curb Records, along with the romantic new single “My Girl.” Having
been named one of Spotify’s Spotlight on 2016 Country Artists, fans have
streamed Scott’s songs a staggering 70 million times and counting, and
sales have topped 1 million stream equivalent songs – figures that
continue to grow by leaps and bounds. He is currently touring the
country after wrapping his opening slot on Lee Brice’s 2016 LIFE OFF MY
YEARS Tour.
