A Family Holiday Surprise: “Two Christmas Trees”
Scott’s announcement arrives alongside a very special holiday release: the original song “Two Christmas Trees.” Co-written by Scott’s father in the 1980s, the song was frequently heard in the Scott household growing up. Despite the lyrical theme of divorce not being part of his own life experience, the sentiment clearly resonated across the generations.
In a beautiful gesture, Scott recently surprised his father with the recording and release of the track. Even more heartwarmingly, the new single spans three generations of the Scott family men, featuring Scott’s son, Beckett, on the final verse. Fans can watch Scott surprise his father with the recorded song online now.
This personal release follows several other popular holiday tracks recorded by Scott, including classics like “Jingle Bell Rock,” “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas,” “Mary, Did You Know?” and “Winter Wonderland.”
Wrapping Up a Career-Defining Year
The tour announcement and holiday tune cap off what has been a truly massive year for the multi-Platinum artist. Scott released his third studio album, Easy Does It, earlier this year. The 11-song collection has been met with praise, with The Tennessean highlighting the album’s vocal power, stating, “Whether backed by a band or accompanied by musicians playing as soft as a whisper, Scott’s gruff baritone, one of his most prominent artistic selling points, takes center stage.”
Scott’s hot streak in 2025 included two No. 1 hits:
-
“This Town’s Been Too Good To Us,” which became his sixth career No. 1.
-
“Boys Back Home,” featuring Dylan Marlowe, which kicked off the year at the top of the charts.
He is currently soaring with his latest single, “What He’ll Never Have,” which is Top 20 and rising at Country radio and was honored by ASCAP as one of the most-performed country songs of the year. With a new chart-topper nearing and two already in the books, Scott wraps 2025 as the third most-played artist at Country radio this year.
Scott has consistently proven his star power on the road, wrapping up both his Country Till I Die Tour—which included his biggest venues yet and first-ever arenas—and the Easy Does It Tour to close out the year, all while accumulating nearly 5 billion career streams to his credit.
⭐ About Dylan Scott: The Underdog Hitmaker
Curb Records hitmaker Dylan Scott has built his career on an underdog mindset, even with a multi-Platinum story and six No. 1 singles. The consummate family man balances a rowdy roughneck style with a romantic heart, blending modern edge with timeless, emotional twang.
Scott broke out with the triple-Platinum devotion anthem “My Girl” in 2016. He followed that success with chart-topping, RIAA-certified hits including “Hooked,” “Nobody,” and “New Truck.” Posting back-to-back No. 1s in 2025 with Gold-certified “Boys Back Home” and Platinum-certified “This Town’s Been Too Good to Us,” Scott heads into a new creative chapter with total confidence, ready to deliver personal truth through heartbreak, romantic devotion, and small-town dedication on his latest album, Easy Does It.
