Drew Baldridge To Release Powerful New Song “Big Prayers”

On March 31st

Independent powerhouse Drew Baldridge today announced the upcoming release of his new song “Big Prayers” out Friday, March 31, via Patoka Records. Written by Baldridge alongside Sam Bergeson and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member, Grammy, CMA and ACM award-winning songwriter, Tim Nichols, the song was produced by Nick Schwarz. “Big Prayers” takes listeners through the real-life stories of various hardships endured by some of Baldridge’s loved ones and the faith that carried them through. “I got the idea for ‘Big Prayers’ the day we all sat down to write. The wife of my old drummer who I played with in my high school cover band got diagnosed with cancer a few years back,” said Baldridge. “I was reading their daughter’s post on Facebook the morning of our writing session and she said something like, ‘My mom just got word that the surgery worked, and they removed all the cancer. The doctors are now about to do another screening today to make sure the cancer didn’t spread to any other parts of her body. We need big brayers.’”

“When the real stuff gets real tough

Go on and send em up down on your knees

When there’s no light anywhere in sight

Just close your eyes and you can see

That you got a friend and he’s listening

With miracles left to spare

When ya got big problems all it takes is a little faith

And big prayers”

“As soon as I read the words ‘big prayers’ it just kind of hit me. I had to write this. There are so many times in our lives when we throw up big prayers and hope that someone is listening,” Baldridge continued. “I just wanted to write this song as a powerful message to never give up hope ‘cause someone is always listening. Always throw up the big prayers no matter how much the cards are stacked against you because miracles do still happen!”

Baldridge continues to reach milestone after milestone across all aspects of his career, and he is doing so on his own terms. With over 190M total catalog streams, Baldridge has carved his own independent path. His sophomore album, “Country Born,” (Patoka Records in partnership with Riser House) has had remarkable success since its release on September 30. In that time, the 11-track project has garnered more than 70 million social media streams/views. Get “Country Born” here.
