Lamitschka:
What is your latest CD and how’s it doing?

Answer:
My new album Resonator Blues is out now and doing great. My first
single Mississippi Mud recently hit Number 1 on the Itunes blues
single chart , so thats pretty cool.

Lamitschka:
Do you write the songs yourself? If not, how do you go about finding
the songs for your CD?

Answer:
I’ve been writting all my own songs for over 20 years and 10 of the
12 songs on the new album Resonator Blues album I wrote.

Lamitschka:
Please tell us about the songs on your album (influences, etc).

Answer:
Theres blues, soull, folk, americana, southern rock, really alot of
differnt types of songs and sounds.

Lamitschka:
What will your next single be?

Answer:
My next single is a song called “Jesus Set Me Free“ about two
brothers on the south side oft he American Civil War.

Lamitschka:
What kind of songs do you like to record the most?

Answer:
I like blues, soul, rock, acoustic and ballads, I record and write in
all these styles.

Lamitschka:
Any thoughts of retirement ahead?

Answer:
I don’t think I can ever give up music I have been playing since I
was 9 years old and it just keeps me goig,

Lamitschka:
Who is your biggest critic, yourself or others?

Answer:
I think I am my biggest critic and my wife of course I listen to her
a lot.

Lamitschka:
What hopes and desires do you have?

Answer:
Music is in my blood , and it’s the most important part of who I am
and what I am
.

Lamitschka:
What can your fans expect to see when they see you in concert?

Answer:
A kickass hi-energy show, with pro players and a great time.

Lamitschka:
Many music fans today get their information about artists online. Do
you have your own website and what will fans find there?

Answer:
yes I do My website is derekdavismusic.com , where they can find
anything about my music and shows.

Lamitschka:
What’s your favorite song that you wish you could have recorded?

Answer:
Imagine by John lennon, One oft he most beautiful songs ever written.
