Nashville, TN (August 15, 2013)  —
CUMBERLAND RIVER has received a 2013 International Bluegrass Music
Association (IBMA) Momentum Award Nomination in the Band Performance
category. This hot band has certainly gained momentum and new fans since
their debut as an IBMA Official Showcase Performer two years ago.
Winners of this year’s Momentum Awards will be announced at the IBMA
World of Bluegrass convention during the Showcase Luncheon scheduled for
Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Raleigh, NC. Cumberland River will
also perform during an “After Party” that week as well.  For more
information on the IBMA, please visit www.ibma.org.

CUMBERLAND RIVER hit the national
spotlight and brought well deserved attention to bluegrass music when
eight of their original songs were featured on the FX Network’s hit TV
drama, Justified over the past couple of years. They also appear on the
show’s new soundtrack album, “Justified: Music From The Original Television Series” released earlier this year on Madison Gate Records.

The band includes three outstanding lead vocalists with exceptional harmonies provided by Brad Gulley (bass), Dustin Middleton (mandolin) and James Dean (banjo) with the talents of Jamie Stewart on Dobro and Gary Robinson, Jr. on guitar. Fans
have eagerly been awaiting a new album from this band, so they will be
pleased to hear that a new single will soon be released giving a preview
of this highly anticipated new album.

Cumberland River is currently on tour including the upcoming AU2 Rally in the Valley on
Saturday, August 24 supporting the Huntington, WV chapter of the Ronald
McDonald House. The event will be held at the home of the Appalachian
Uprising festival on Eden Valley Farm in Scottown, Ohio and will also
include performances by Bobby Cyrus, Rumpke Mountain Boys and more. On
Thursday, September 19, the band will perform at the Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Morehead, KY before heading to Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion in Bristol, TN on September 20.
