
CMA WELCOMES GEORGIA RECORDING ARTIST SCOTT BRANTLEY AS NEW MEMBER
NASHVILLE – The Country Music Association recently welcomed one of its newest members,
Scott Brantley, to its Nashville offices. Brantley, in Nashville doing studio work on an upcoming
album, was welcomed by CMA Senior Director of Membership and Balloting, Brandi Simms.
Born into a musically gifted family, Brantley’s talent runs deep. He started playing drums at
age 4, graduating to guitar at 15. An accomplished songwriter and talented musician, he has
won numerous awards, both as front man with his band, and as a solo artist. His honors include
Georgia Artist of the Year, Georgia Country Band of the Year, and Traditional Artist of the Year.
In 2012, Brantley was the State Winner of the Texaco Country Showdown. Signed to a recording
contract with Studio Gold Nashville in 2015, his new single, “How Summer Goes,”
releases to Country radio in late May.
When asked his thoughts about becoming a member of CMA, Brantley said, “As a lifelong
Country Music fan,I have been familiar with CMA since I was a kid, and now to be
accepted as a member, it’s such a great honor for me.”
