NASHVILLE – The CMA Awards is celebrating its 50th Anniversary
with a limited-edition, commemorative fan package. The package, created by New
York-based entertainment agency ZinePak, pairs an 80-page magazine and 20-song
CD with trading cards featuring the 2016 CMA New Artist of the Year nominees.
The ZinePak includes fun facts, photos, and artist interviews and insights that
bring “The 50th Annual CMA Awards” to life. Limited copies of the
package will available at Walmart stores nationwide and Walmart.com beginning
Friday, Oct. 21. The sale price
is $11.88, while supplies last.
“The ZinePak is great representation of the songs and artists
that are nominated for the 50th Anniversary CMA Awards and a great
way for fans to learn more about their favorite nominees. Having this product
available exclusively in Walmart nationwide is another avenue to support our industry
and to interact and connect with the fans,” said Damon Whiteside,

“The 50th Annual CMA
Awards” ZinePak is the only place CMA’s history-making song, “Forever Country,”
is available for physical purchase on CD. In honor of “The 50th Annual CMA Awards,”
the song features 30 CMA Award-winning acts performing a medley of John Denver’s
“Take Me Home, Country Roads,” Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,”
and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You.” Denver, Nelson, and Parton
are all former CMA Entertainers of the Year.
A collectible set of five trading cards featuring New
Artist of the Year nominees Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers
Osborne, Maren Morris, Old Dominion,
and Cole Swindell, is also exclusively included in each package.
The compilation album in
the ZinePak package includes hits from hosts Brad Paisley and
Carrie Underwood and a curated group of CMA Awards nominees,
including Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Chris
Stapleton, and Keith Urban, among others.

Awards” ZinePak is currently available for presale at Walmart.com. It will be available in
the music department in Walmart stores nationwide beginning Friday, Oct. 21 for only $11.88.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and broadcast
live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Wednesday,
Nov. 2 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.
“The 50th
Annual CMA Awards” is a production of the Country Music Association. Robert
Deaton is the Executive Producer and Paul Miller is
the Director. The CMA Awards will be shot in high definition and broadcast in
720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound.

The first “CMA Awards Banquet and Show” was held
in 1967. The following year, the CMA Awards was broadcast on television for the
first time – making it the longest running, annual music awards program on network
TV. The CMA Awards have aired on ABC since 2006. ABC will be the network home
of the CMA Awards and CMA’s other two television properties, “CMA Music Festival:
Country’s Night to Rock” and “CMA Country Christmas,” through 2021.
