COUNTRY MUSIC’S NEWEST RENEGADE, CHRISTIAN KANE, KICKS OFF THE RAISING KANE TOUR THIS WEEK

Coast-to-Coast Tour Spans Sixteen Cities

NASHVILLE, Tenn – September 20, 2011 – Singer, songwriter and high-energy entertainer Christian Kane will kick off the first leg of his “Raising Kane” Tour with a show on September 22 at Knoxville, Tennessee’s Cotton Eyed Joe with label mate Chris Cagle.  The tour spans sixteen cities and will make stops nationwide, with appearances ranging from Connecticut to California. Additional dates will roll out over the coming weeks.

Kane’s rowdy, debut album, “The House Rules,” (Bigger Picture Group) is garnering a new wave of attention with the release of its second single, “Let Me Go.” Currently No. 60 on the Billboard Country Chart, the classic country power ballad has all the makings of a hit. Kane had a hand in writing all but two songs on the album and the result is a passion fueled record that showcases both the hard-partying and heartfelt sides of the musician.

Christian Kane is no newcomer to performance – the singer has a starring role on TNT’s No. 1 rated drama, “Leverage,” which was just picked up for a fifth season and earned Kane Entertainment Weekly’s “Summer TV: YOUR Hottie Awards’ Sexiest Voice,” nod. As soon as the fourth season wrapped filming, Kane hit the road to work, and shifted focus to his music career. His first love was music, and the love has grown stronger over the years. “Being there onstage – is the best drug in the world,” Kane says.

Of Kane’s live show, the Las Vegas Review-Journal said “He’s a serious singer/songwriter blessed with a husky, country-perfect voice that he employs…in the service of a genre that combines the raucous energy of rock ‘n’ roll with, well, the raucous energy of country.”

About Christian Kane: While he was born in Dallas, Kane spent most of his childhood in the small town of Norman, Oklahoma, where he calls home. When the call of Los Angeles proved too strong to ignore, he set off to pursue a career in the entertainment business and quickly caught the attention of the talent executives at MGM’s television series “FAME L.A.” Kane was cast as a comedian, but after hearing him sing, his leading role was rewritten and changed to that of a singer.  He later met songwriting partner Steve Carlson, and together they formed the band KANE. Packing such hot spots as The Viper Room and The Mint, Kane and Carlson became well known in the L.A. community for their strong original songwriting and high-energy performances. KANE was soon receiving airplay from L.A. country radio, and the two began taking regular trips to Nashville to polish their writing chops. In Nashville, Kane’s solo career took off when he partnered with Bigger Picture Group, joined the EMI songwriting family, and wrote “Happy Man,” a cut that’s included on Trace Adkins’ 2010 album, “Cowboy’s Back in Town.” Since then, Kane has shared the stage with the likes of Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, and Eric Church, among others. In December 2010, he released his debut album, “The House Rules,” which debuted at No. 1 one on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and peaked at No. 3 on iTunes Country Chart. The album includes both his first single and title-track, “The House Rules,” which peaked at No. 45, and his current single, “Let Me Go.”
