Cindy Lee Alden is a Christian Contemporary
Singer who fuses country stylings with gospel music and folk rock influences.  The album leads me to the story of a man who
got his sight back through modern medicine several years ago.  The reporter asked, “What’s it like to have
your sight? How’s life now?”  He said, “I
got this precious gift to see my loved ones faces.”  He went on to describe the colors and other
ordinary things he noticed, nothing deeper or heavier than that, but Cindy Lee
Arden’s “Open My Eyes” is making a big impact.
It encourages us to have a set of spiritual eyes which is even more
valuable than the human eyes.  God’s
touch is like the sun shining in the face of a spiritually blind woman in this
track.  It’s like having a special
antenna from heaven that vibrates to your soul to turn the impossible into
possible, to experience security during instability, to give hope during
restless times, to give strength during hard times, to give courage and
boldness in times of fears and doubts.   â€śFather God” reveals the Lord is the most
wonderful Father of all, a father who loves the unworthy, a Father who saved us
by His grace.  He offers His fatherhood
to everyone who accepts the gift of adoption by trusting and by being led by
the Holy Spirit.    We live in the modern
age where trust seems to be in short supply.
We’ll find some steps we need in “Lean” as we journey in life. Calling
upon the name of Jesus, surrendering every burden in His presence trusting Him,
resting in His understanding and love can make us conquerors and victorious as
we face the battles in life.  It strongly
states Psalm 18:2 which says, “The Lord is my rock, my
fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield
and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
We all have a race we’re running in different areas in life and all people are different in their journey of healing, restoration,
trying to balance the feelings of burdens, pain and loss while going forward in
the everyday life even if it’s difficult.
 We encounter challenges
from time to time, “Stronger, Stronger” encourages us to run the race that is
set before us, throw off the things that tangles us up, persevere and fix our
eyes on the Lord to win.   â€śDown to the River” is about fixing our eyes
on Jesus and soaking in the Holy Spirit no matter what situations we are
in.  Something significant and amazing
begins to happen when we surrender to this leading.  As we enter into His presence, He directs our
thoughts and imagination.  It is a deep
communion on the basis of love as we allow the Holy Spirit access to God’s word
and on to the better life.  As a result,
we follow His lead.
The album captures a fresh sense of love,
hope, assurance, protection, security and a sound that weaves truths with sweet
melodies for inspiring message-tinged brand of country.  It’s all about journey music that follows
God’s heart and the road to success.  It
can change us profoundly and empower us to love deeper and spread His
love.
