This disc tilted “My Personal Favorites” is a collection of some very very good Texas
Honky Tonk Music by Chuck Cusimano. Each song is infused with passion as Chuck
wrings every drop of emotion from each phrase. If you need a lesson in what Texas
Dance Music sounds like this is a textbook effort.
Heaven’s On the Other Side of Town, a song nominated for Song of the Year and this
reviewer is still wondering how it did not win, is one of the best crafted songs on the disc
as well as one of the best crafted songs in the genre. All of theses songs are solid and I
can see why they are Chuck’s personal favorites. Many are my favorites as well.
Although if I had to provide a complete listing of my favorites songs by Chuck Cusimano
it would in all likelihood be a 3 disc set.
Chuck Cusimano’s albums are always chock full of great songs because Chuck is a
great writer. If you want a song for your next project don’t cut another worn out classic
that has been cut 30 times too many already. Give Chuck Cusimano a call and get a
real country song that is destined to be a classic in its own right. You’ll be doing yourself
and your fans a huge favor…and it won’t hurt Chuck’s feelings any either!
