Since the summer 2018 release of Bobby Marquez’s new album, ‘The
Cowboy Way,’ the title track has been honored with multiple awards. Now,
the other tracks are moving into the spotlight.
Bobby Marquez’s version of the Gary Stewart honky tonk classic, “An
Empty Glass,” has climbed to number 3 on the Texas Country Music
Countdown. “I was
blown away because the top two spots belong to Cody Johnson and Midland.
That is some amazing company to be included with. I can’t thank all of
the Texas DJs enough for playing that song. And thanks to all of the
folks that come out to my shows and kept telling me they loved my live
version and I HAD to record that song. You know how to pick ’em. Thank
you!”shares Marquez.
“An Empty Glass” has also reached number 22 on the Top 40 World Of Country Music Chart in the UK for Marquez.
Another track, penned by the singer/songwriter, “For Awhile,” ranks
at lucky number 13 this week on the Top 200 Country Music Chart in
Austria. That song recently won the CMA of Texas Duet of the Year for
Bobby Marquez and Rhonda Vincent. The duet is also under consideration
right now for a Grammy.
“As a singer
and songwriter, it is never enough to feel like you poured out a great
song. We are always waiting for the reaction from country music fans and
disc jockeys. This reaction from my home state and around the world is
unbelievable,” states Marquez.
Bobby Marquez is currently nominated in several categories for the
2019 Academy of Western Artists Awards. Bobby Marquez is touring and
scheduling dates now for 2019.
