BEFORE THE TREE COMES DOWN

“BEFORE THE TREE COMES DOWN” –  A MILITARY TRIBUTE FROM THE WORLDCLASS TALENT OF LISA McCLOWRY

Song Honors America’s Military & Families –
Benefitting “Stars For Stripes” Military Outreach
(Nashville,
Tennessee) – January 2, 2012 -The release of the new single “Before The
Tree Comes Down,” marks the addition of the incomparable voice of Lisa
McClowry to the list of musical gifts to be thankful for.
The heartwarming
companion video uses a military theme that touches on the lives of those
serving overseas and those waiting at home for their return – a reality
for millions of Americans during the holiday season and beyond.  A
portion of the sales of “Before The Tree Comes Down” is being donated to
support the work of “Stars For Stripes,” a non-profit organization
dedicated to providing quality celebrity entertainment to
internationally deployed U.S. military forces.

Lisa is
particularly hopeful the release will gain major connectivity with
listeners as a thoughtful reminder of the thousands of military men and
woman deployed overseas and the waiting families who must cope with
their loved one’s absence.
“I have a
tremendous respect for our military and value the meaning of family,”
she noted in a recent interview. “Releasing ‘Before The Tree Comes Down’
is my own personal audio greeting card to our troops and their
families.  This is my way of honoring them and letting them know they
are not forgotten and my hope is that this song brings to light the
sacrifices our brave service men and women and their families endure
every day.”
Written by Christa
Wells and Jim Peterik and produced by Jim Peterik, “Before The Tree
Comes Down” is being serviced independently to radio across multiple
genres by the Nashville based HMG Music Group.  The video is being
promoted nationally to viewing outlets by HIP Video Promo.
With a stunning
four octave range and strong career credits in the sophisticated world
of Jazz, Lisa McClowry’s versatility  has accorded her virtually
effortless transitions into pop, R&B, blues, country-most recently
gospel with the release of “Brand New Hallelujah” currently climbing the
gospel/inspirational charts-and now the holiday/seasonal market.
Her most recent
album release, Lisa McClowery Sings Acoustic Alchemy, the ambitious and
inspiring collaboration between the artist and the British instrumental
guitar duo legends behind Acoustic Alchemy –Greg Carmichael and Miles
Gilderdale-has since its release in 2010 provided the introduction of
her music to a wide new universe of listeners.
Central to this
her latest season of music is Lisa’s creative recording/production
relationship with legendary Grammy and Oscar winning singer/songwriter
Jim Peterik whose lasting niche in music history credits him with
founding roles with super rock groups The Ides of March and Survivor, as
well as writing credits for the memorable mega hit of movie origin-“Eye
of the Tiger.”
A self admitted
“bit of a chalemeon” Lisa’s  career interests away from the live
performance stage she loves have taken her into the recording studio for
projects as diverse as the artist herself.  She’s recorded national
commercial campaigns for major advertisers such as Applebee’s (“Eating
Good in the Neighborhood”) and TRESemme hair products (“TRESemme, ooh la
la!”). She has also been involved with film work, including the major
creative stretch of co-writing a song for the animated “The Adventures
of Rocky & Bullwinkle,” as well as her soundtrack voice work credits
for “Rugrats In Paris: The Movie,” for which she supplied the character
voice work for The Princess.
