Will Carter Interview

Will Carter Interview by Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

Lamitschka:  Music has many new fans throughout
Europe who may be hearing about you for the first time. How would you describe
yourself and the music you play to someone who has never seen or heard you?

Answer:  Defnintely well rounded. Country roots with a twist. I was homeschooled, grew up on a self
sustaining farm, had a garden, and milked goats every morning!

Lamitschka:  How was the last year for you? What were
your highlights?

Answer:  Last year I was blessed with a fully staffed
record label complete with management, booking agent, (2) Texas radio promoters,
a national Music Row radio promoter, a publicist, A&R team, social media
team, and a a radio tour manager.

Lamitschka:  What is your latest CD and how’s it
doing?

Answer:  The Good Bad Idea album had (3) charting singles
in Texas, and the title track Good Bad Idea reached #32 in Texas and was our first
single to chart nationwide on Music Row radio. I have currently released my first single from the next album You Feel
Like Home and it is sitting at #21 on the Texas Country chart this week! That is first Top 30 charting single I have
had, and we‘re VERY close to a Top 20!

Lamitschka:  How did you choose the title for the
CD?  Is there a story behind the name?

Answer:  The song Good Bad Idea is based on a true
story. It’s about a guy and girl who
both recently got out of a long term relationship and were NOT looking for a
rebound. BUT they met randomly and
really hit it off. So then the question
became, is pursuing a new relationship between the two of them a Good idea, or
a Bad idea, or maybe a Good Bad Idea… if you listen to the sonf you can hear
the full story!

Lamitschka:  Do you write the songs yourself? If not,
how do you go about finding the songs for your CD?

Answer:  I write or co-write all of my songs.

Lamitschka:  Please tell us about the songs on your
album (influences, etc).

Answer:  Every song on the album is based on something
I have experienced in life. As different
as we all are, we are also all very similar. So the songs are relatable for anyone. They cover heartbreak, fun, partying, love, and loss.

Lamitschka:  What is the difference between your last
CD and your current one?

Answer:  After having been through the production process
with my first CD, I was more experienced and more confident to take the reins
on the second CD.

Lamitschka:  Your current single is being played by
radio. What do you feel is special about this song that makes people want to
hear it?

Answer:  Its relatable. The message is You Feel Like Home, and home is
something we can all relate to.

Lamitschka:  What will your next single be?

Answer:  Fallin‘ In Love

Lamitschka:  What kind of songs do you like to record
the most?

Answer:  Love songs

Lamitschka:  What is your favorite song among all the
songs you have recorded and what’s the story behind it?

Answer:  You Feel Like Home

Lamitschka:  How much creative control do you have
over your music?

Answer:  100%
