By Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine
There are few figures in American music who command as much universal respect as Vince Gill. A 22-time Grammy winner, a world-class virtuosic guitarist, and possessor of one of the most recognizable tenor voices in history, Gill has spent the last five decades defining the “gold standard” of country music.
Today, the music icon officially announced his return to the solo stage for an extensive summer tour. The trek, which kicks off on June 18, 2026, features a highly anticipated six-night residency at the “Mother Church of Country Music,” Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. This announcement comes at a peak of activity for Gill, who continues to balance his solo legacy with his role as a touring member of the Eagles, currently performing to sellout crowds at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
