URBAN COUNTRY ARTIST, PAULINA JAYNE, AND HAMMOND ARTIST, JACOB TIPTON, SING THE STORY OF CHRISTMAS IN SINGLE ‘GO TELL IT’

Urban
country artist and songwriter, Paulina Jayne, has teamed-up with
renowned Hammond B3 Organ artist, Jacob Tipton, to create a soulful
rendition of ‘Go Tell It On The Mountain.’ Their Christmas track opens
with an ethereal duet of  ‘Angels We Have Heard On High,’ but just as
the listener is about to settle into a heavenly holiday cloud, a
star-studded band enters the recording, ramping-up to the  top of ‘Go
Tell It On The Mountain.’  Chucki Burke (drums), Emanuel Cole (bass),
Miqui Gutierrez (saxophone), and John Gallo (electric guitar) bring the
gospel and Motown-inspired heat Jayne and Tipton intended. Paulina’s
producer, Mills Logan, led the stellar pack, recording, mixing, and
mastering her full band in his notable home studio in Bellevue, TN.

Drawing
inspiration from Cece Winans’ album, ‘Let Them Fall In Love,’ from
Michael Jackson’s rhythmic bass lines and gritty chest voice notes, and
from her love of the sweet and melodious harmonies of bluegrass, Paulina
says her adaptation of ‘Go Tell It On The Mountain’ speaks to her
musical core. Jacob, on the other hand, grew-up playing soul gospel and
listening to Motown music. “Combining the two genres for a Christmas
arrangement seemed nothing but natural, and when Paulina and I began
collaborating on the project, everything just clicked,” says Jacob.

Jayne’s
favorite part about this particular recording process was the history
attached to every aspect of it. “Here we are singing two songs written
in the 1800s on a 1960s Neumann U67, recording them in a studio where
Allison Krauss and Brad Paisley cut their teeth, working with musicians
like Chucki Burke who has played for virtually every Motown legend (like
Little Milton, Etta James and Billy Preston) and using a 1962 Hammond
B3 organ from the classic rock group, “Mothers Finest,” signed by Dr.
Lonnie Smith. Phew! And as if that isn’t enough antiquity for you, Jacob
and I got to tell the story of the greatest moment in history–the
birth of Jesus Christ,” says Jayne.

‘Go
Tell It’ is now available on all streaming platforms and is going for
adds at Country and Christian radio to shake-up the typical holiday
fare. Watch for the corresponding music video coming soon!
