Two Days of Music Featuring Country, Cajun & Texas/Red Dirt Talent

Deer Park, TX – A-Blake Entertainment announces the Crawfish & Cowboys Music Festival (“C&C”) will take place March 22-23, 2013  at The Waterfront Lodge, Marina & RV Park (located at 371 Navaho Trail, in Onalaska, Texas). A favorite time of year along the Gulf Coast and in Texas, “C&C” livens up the tradition of a crawfish boil by bringing in two days of live music to spice things up.To kick-off festivities on Friday night in style is Cajun-artist Wayne Toups while Saturday will feature an all-star lineup of talent of Stoney LaRue, Jason Cassidy, Ashley Ray and Backseat Molly.

Situated on scenic Lake Livingston, a “water wonderland”
for residents and visitors who enjoy a variety of activities such as
swimming, fishing and boating, “C&C” is a kid-friendly music event that provides the opportunity to gather and enjoy friends, family and crawfish at The Waterfront Lodge. Crawfish is available all day and night at only $3.99 per pound and a special 2-DAY PASS for only $20 that includes 2lbs of FREE CRAWFISH is available at Brookshire Brothers, Baskins Western & Work Wear, and Polk Pick-It-Up locations.

An icon on the Red Dirt scene, Stoney LaRue will headline the “C&C” festivities Saturday night, March 23. A popular touring artist, LaRue has used his concerts to record several live albums, including a popular Live at Billy Bob’s compilation. Using this as a platform for success, LaRue positioned himself as one of the pioneers of the Texas/Red Dirt movement in 2005 when he released the studio recording THE RED DIRT ALBUM. LaRue released VELVET
in 2011 to critical acclaim and it landed on the Billboard Top 100
chart at #53. Hailed as one of contemporary country music’s best
songwriter’s,
LaRue will entertain the crowd with his classic tunes as well as newer songs like “Travelin’ Kind” and “Velvet.”

Jason Cassidy (A-Blake Records), who just released “Blame It On Waylon,” the first single from his forthcoming album KEEP IT COUNTRY, to country radio stations across the country shares the bill with LaRue on Saturday. Achieving his first #1 Texas single last fall with “Honky Tonk Heaven,Cassidy followed that effort with the national release of “What If,” which became a Top 10 single on the Texas charts. The video for the song reached the #1 spot on the CMT Pure 12-Pack Countdown and his next single, “Ride of Your Life,” was a Top 5 song on the Texas charts this winter.

Dubbed as “The Cajun Springsteen” or “Le Boss,” Grammy-nominated Wayne Toups takes the stage on Friday, March 22 with his band Zydecajun.
Drawing on French-language traditional material of his Cajun ancestors,
blending the unmistakable R&B textures of Zydeco music and adding
to that an undeniable charisma as a rocker and you begin to understand
why
Toups is one of the most successful American Cajun singer/songwriters of all time.

“C&C” runs from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m on Friday, March 22 and from 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m on Saturday, March 23.
 Individual General Admission tickets for Friday are $10 for adults, $5
for children ages 5-12; Saturday ticket prices are $15 for adults and
$8 for children ages 5-12. Tickets are available through Outhouse Tickets at
