Billion-Stream Breakout: Tucker Wetmore Announces Global Headlining Run with ‘The Brunette World Tour’
By Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine
In less than two years since his explosive arrival on the scene, Tucker Wetmore has cemented his status as a country music powerhouse. The 2025 CMA New Artist of the Year nominee is escalating his momentum to a global scale, announcing his 22-stop headlining The Brunette World Tour, kicking off in February 2026 with dates spanning the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
A Meteoric Rise and Record-Breaking Debut
The announcement of this ambitious world tour is the latest milestone in a career trajectory that has been nothing short of staggering. Wetmore’s formal debut in the country format only occurred in March 2024, yet he has already achieved incredible success:
-
Record-Breaking Album: His debut album, What Not To, released in April 2025 via Back Blocks Music/MCA/Mercury Records, made history as the biggest country album debut from a new artist in 2025. It soared to the No. 15 spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 Albums chart.
-
Massive Streams: Wetmore has already surpassed 1.4 BILLION total global streams, with his chart-toppers “Wine Into Whiskey” (Platinum) and his 2x Platinum debut No. 1, “Wind Up Missin’ You,” both landing on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2024.
-
Radio Domination: Following his first No. 1 at Country radio with “Wind Up Missin’ You,” his follow-up single “3,2,1” continues to climb the charts, notching No. 9 this week.
Raised in Kalama, Washington, with a versatile musical background spanning country, rock, and reggae, Wetmore’s journey from a college football injury to a Nashville arrival in 2020 has been fueled by an easy instinct for modern grooves and a warm, sawtoothed vocal delivery.
️ From Support Slots to Global Headliner
Wetmore has quickly earned a reputation as one of country music’s most electric live acts, a quality sharpened by relentless touring. Over the past year, he has been a standout presence on major stages like C2C, Stagecoach, and Crash My Playa. He also made his sold-out headlining debut at the historic Ryman Auditorium, recently sharing a special live performance of “3,2,1” from the iconic venue.
His path to headliner status has been paved by securing high-profile direct support slots with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Thomas Rhett (on the Better In Boots Tour), Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Jordan Davis.
Expressing his excitement for the upcoming tour, Wetmore shared the significance of this step:
“I’ve been lucky to play these songs for fans all over the country in the past year and a half, but getting to headline my own tour — and take it to fans in the UK and Europe for the first time — is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time. I’m bringing some of my favorite people out on the road with me and you can bet we’re going to make it a party every night.”
