NASHVILLE — November 10, 2014 — Tokens returns to the Ryman stage for the fifth consecutive year to celebrate “Thanksgiving At The Ryman with Lee C. Camp & Friends” on November 23. This year’s show features a virtual feast of guests including Ricky
Skaggs, Sharon White, Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek, The Heimermann
Children’s Choir, Brother Preacher, Buddy Greene, The Nashville Choir,
Odessa Settles, The Tokens Radio Players and the Most Outstanding Horeb Mountain Boys.
Tokens is
a live radio variety show that blends music, humor and issues of social
justice. The show is hosted by its creator Lee C. Camp, a professor of
theology at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Tokens was launched
in February 2008.
The Tokens Radio Players contribute the humor to each show with hilarious segments built around each show’s social justice topics. Brother Preacher will be making an appearance on the show bringing his unusual and hysterical twist to “the sermon.”
Tokens also boasts a stellar house band, The Most Outstanding Horeb Mountain Boys, made up of some of the top musicians in Nashville. Led by guest music director Chris Walters, the band is comprised of fabled Nashville sidemen, Byron House, Pete Huttlinger, Aubrey Haynie, Chris Brown and Buddy Greene.
Presenting sponsors for this year’s show are Agape Nashville, Climb Nashville and Lipscomb University.
