Tim Williams Interview by Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

Lamitschka:  Music has many new fans throughout
Europe who may be hearing about you for the first time. How would you describe
yourself and the music you play to someone who has never seen or heard you?

Answer:  Since I was an actor on Samt und Seide & Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten, the German fans may recognize me.
There are so many country music fans in Europe and I would describe my music as
being pure middle America country and western music. This album tells the
stories of my life.

Lamitschka:  How was the last year for you? What were
your highlights?

Answer:  It was both hectic and exhilerating. The
highlights from 2018 would be when we got to premeire this album in Music City,
Nashville, TN. It was a milestone to
finally play this album and my music in front of audiences and it was
incredible to finally hear it on the radio.

Lamitschka:  How did you choose the title Magnolia
City?  Is there a story behind the name?

Answer:  I was looking to write a song about Houston,
but I didn;t wnat to call it H-town or Houston. I wanted something different so I went tot Google and looked up
nicknames for the city and that’s when Magnolia City popped up. We built the song around that nickname and
filled it with my favorite things about my hometown.

Lamitschka:  Do you write the songs yourself? If not,
how do you go about finding the songs for your CD?

Answer:  I co-wrote this album. I know what stories I want to tell and put
the content together, but my co-writers are better at structurally turing it
into a song and finding a melody. Some
songs take a while, but then there are examples like My End where the song was
written quickly in one session.

Lamitschka:  Your current single Magnolia City is
being played at country radio. What do you feel is special about this song that
makes people connect with it?

Answer:  You don;t have to be from Houston to like
this song. For the fans, a song like
this hopefully makes them think of their hometown, the things they loved about
that city, where their parent’s used to take them, etc. For me, the Houston
Livestock Show and Rodeo was always a memeory that stuck out as it was one of
the first places where I heard country music.

Lamitschka:  As an artist, you have so many tasks
such as recording, touring, interviews. What do you like best, what’s your
favorite activity?

Answer:  Recording: It’s in the studio that I get to
watch the song come to life via vocals, guitars and additional
instruments.

Lamitschka:  What was your big break that got you
into the music and/or acting scene?

Answer:  In regards to acting, my biggest breaks in
the beginning were on shows like Law and
Order
and the Sapranos.

Lamitschka:  Before you had success, were your
friends and family supportive or was it a struggle?

Answer:  I have been very fortunate to have friends
and family that have supported me since the beginning. I’ve also met many
friends along this journaye that have been very supportive.

Lamitschka:  What inspired you to become a country
artist?

Answer:  I have always loved how simple a country
song can be and how complicated the stories are that can be development within
that short three and a half to four minutes. Country is a format where
authentic stories are created via songs.

Lamitschka:  Is there any place you haven’t played
that you would like to?

Answer:  There are two places. The Grand Ole Opry in
Nashville and the Houston livestock Show and Rodeo.

Lamitschka:  Many music fans today get their information
about artists online. Do you have your own website and what will fans find
there?

Answer:  You can stay updated on my music career at www.williamstim.com. There you can find all of my social media
pages, tour schedule, music and news.

Lamitschka:  What’s the best compliment a fan has
ever given you?

Answer:  You come across a real genuine guy.
