Thom McHugh Joins Expanding Parallel Entertainment’s Nashville Roster
Nashville, TN (February 22, 2012) – Nashville’s Parallel Music Publishing is excited to announce they’ve added yet another talented songwriter to their publishing roster. Thom McHugh has had well over a hundred songs recorded and penned 19 singles, five of which have reached the number one position on the country charts and five more have made it to the top five.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tenn., McHugh’s songs include “Don’t Happen Twice” for Kenny Chesney, “You Can’t Lose Me” by Faith Hill, “More” by Trace Adkins, “Life Goes On” by Little Texas, “This Is Me” by Randy Travis and “It Won’t Be Over You” by Steve Wariner, just to name a few.
“Parallel is thrilled to have such a talented and accomplished writer on our roster,” said Tim Hunze, managing partner, Parallel Music Publishing. “We expect great things to come from our new relationship with Thom.”
McHugh is no stranger to the music industry. Following his heart, after two years at Western Kentucky University, Thom transferred to the Music Business Program at Nashville’s Belmont University. While there, Thom began studying Engineering and working in the University’s studio. It wasn’t long before Thom landed an internship at MCA Music Publishing where he soon worked his way up to chief engineer of the MCA studio. Engineering by day and writing by night, McHugh discovered his true passion in writing and decided to give it a shot full time.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Tim Hunze and the entire Parallel Entertainment team,” said Thom. “It feels like the perfect fit.”
