Steve Kolander – If It Ain’t Santa

CD Single Review: Steve Kolander – If It Ain’t Santa

By Ritchie Ritchison for Country Music News International

The new single from Steve Kolander is a total blast of fun and mayhem. Written in 2020 during the pandemic when everyone was thinking a little off of center. Steve wrote this according to his BBQ sessions on youtube just two days before Christmas.

It is the story of a guy wondering who is breaking into his house on Christmas Eve and already a bit paranoid from the pandemic the protagonist is faced with a dilemma of whether to offer the intruder cookies or the business end of his Colt revolver.

It all ends happily ever after as Santa bounds up the chimney unscathed after leaving presents and the “hero” of our story returns his “big iron” to its proper place and retires for the night.

It is 2021’s version of Christmas humor in the style of the Ray Stevens classic Santa Claus is Watchin’ You and it is the perfect song to set the mood for a wonderful Holiday season.

Merry Christmas!
