SIX-TIME GRAMMY NOMINEE BRANDY CLARK BRINGS BIG DAY TO
NBC’S TODAY SHOW, TUESDAY, JAN. 31

Clark will perform GRAMMY-nominated track “Love Can Go To Hell” on her TODAY debut

Nashville, Tenn. – “Country music’s most emotionally intelligent younger songwriter” (American Songwriter) and six-time GRAMMY nominee Brandy Clark will make her debut on NBC’s TODAY on Tuesday, Jan. 31. Clark is nominated for two 2017 GRAMMY awards: Best Country Album for her critical-smash sophomore album Big Day in a Small Town
and Best Country Solo Performance for her poignant ballad “Love Can Go
To Hell,” which Clark will perform during the program’s fourth hour,
hosted by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

“Performing on the Kathy Lee and Hoda hour of the TODAY show is a big one for me,” shares the woman critics call “one of country’s driving forces” (TIME), “I am truly a fan of both of them and watch their segment any morning I can.”

Clark struck a chord with fans last month when she teamed up with YouTube cover-song sensation Sam Tsui to reinvent her powerful “Love Can Go To Hell.” Rolling Stone
said of the song; “…nails the sadness and anger of the post-love life
over a pretty bed of layered acoustic instruments and a chugging
groove.”

“Love Can Go To Hell” is the second single from Clark’s explosive
sophomore album. Produced by Nashville’s Jay Joyce and released late
2017, Big Day landed on many “Best of 2016” critics’ lists, including NPR, TIME Magazine, Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard and more.  The critically acclaimed album had Barry Mazor of the Washington Post
extolling, “When you memorialize human lives with this level of care,
you’re writing music that’s meant to last. Like Clark’s protagonists,
these songs want to survive. And they will.”

“I am on board with the fact that [Clark] is a country songwriting genius,” Music Row Magazine’s Robert Oermann commended. “What is frequently overlooked is that she is also a singer of flawless phrasing, liquid tone
and silky listenability. This lightly bopping, tinkling, twinkling
outing about an ended relationship is audio ecstasy on every level. I am
in love with this woman’s music.”
