Scarborough Ribfest in Scarborough Ontario

Despite the record breaking temperatures, Scarborough
Ribfest in Scarborough Ontario has had another successful year with
lot’s of sunshine, rib vendors, fairway rides, and other festivities!
The entertainment at this 3 day festival is a big attraction and the
highlight this year was country artist Elyse Saunders! Elyse made a
positive impact at this year’s festival where she played for 2 hours
with her band in front of 1000’s of people. The audience loved her
powerful performance, hearing a variety of material including country
classics, new country hits, rock & roll and some of her original
radio singles. Fans lined up in between sets to talk to Elyse, getting
CD’s autographed, purchasing posters, etc. and Elyse makes sure to talk
to every single fan! Her smooth vocals, energetic performance and movie
star looks were shining brightly at the Scarborough Ribfest. Organizer
Buddy Ibe has already asked her back for next year. Trying to keep cool,
the audience members relaxed in shaded sitting areas in front of the
stage, and Elyse’s fun performance made the heat a little more bearable.
Speaking with Elyse about the day, she jokes – “In this heat, it was
like running a marathon on stage! I really enjoyed performing at the
Scarborough Ribfest… this was my first year and it was a lot of fun!
The stage was great and the people made my experience even better. It
was nice to see such a supportive and fun crowd!” Just back from another
successful songwriting trip to Nashville, Elyse is currently writing
and recording her new album. She will be releasing and performing her
new material soon, so keep an eye out for it.
