Rewind

It’s a little bit grassy, a little bit country, a little bit bluesy and whole lot of Ruth Manning. That’s how I would describe the new album Rewind. A very organic and woodsy instrument feel, songs about life, family and love and 9 out of the 12 cuts on this disc written by Ruth. After winning several awards the past couple of years for her songwriting, Manning has answered the accolades with a collection of songs showing a maturity and depth to her writing that is sure to earn her even more recognition.

The three covers she chose reflects a love and respect for the tradition of country music and a tribute to heroes who have influenced her music. Ruth Manning has produced a fine disc of music that should give her growing number of fans reason to smile and plunk down the bucks required to get their copy of Rewind. Hopefully we will get the virus under control and touring can resume because the music will sound good in concert and Ruth has always put on a good show. Here’s to the Ruth and to all of a you a very happy healthy and prosperous 2021. That way when we rewind later in the year we can be thankful that Ruth Manning released this album for us at just the right time.
