Rusty Gear I Used To Drink

CD Single Review: Rusty Gear I Used To Drink

by Antony Bailey for Country Music News International

American singer-songwriter Rusty Gear had returned with the release of four new tracks to share with his fanse New Year in true country style. Today we introduce you to the song:

I Used To Drink

The song is different in the sense that there is an injection of pace into the tempo and a shuffle beat that is sure to get the toes tapping. ‘’I used to drink and that’s why I still do’’ is the refrain and is gut wrenching as the lyrics depict an individual who has turned to alcoholism as a result of a broken relationship and depression. The song depicts an image of a person who has been pushed over the edge and ignored all the warning signs from friends and family who encouraged him to stop drinking.
