for exciting new projects for the remainder of 2011.
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (June 1, 2011) – Mountain Music Entertainment proudly announces exclusive representation of multi-award winning Rodney Dillard and The Dillard Band. Dillard is well known for his contributions on television as Rodney Darlin on The Andy Griffith Show. He has also enjoyed an incredible career with his additions to different musical genres as an artist, producer, writer, and vocalist. The group announced today their affiliation with Mountain Music Entertainment.
“Working with Rodney and Beverly and The Dillard Band is incredibly exciting for us.” said Steve Johnson President and CEO of Mountain Music Entertainment. “I grew up watching The Andy Griffith Show and also learning songs like “Dooley”. To be working with such great entertainers and truly wonderful people is something that is hard to put into words. In 2009, The Dillards were inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. Showing they were not finished with adding to their list of accomplishments with the induction, the band’s latest CD, “I Wish Life Was Like Mayberry”, was released on the Rural Rhythm label in September 2010. Their upcoming project, an all Gospel music compilation, will be released in the Summer of 2011 on the Rural Rhythm Label. Rodney and Beverly Dillard are choosing the strongest Bluegrass gospel songs from their previous Gospel Albums and will add several new gospel songs such as; “Don’t Let The Hearse Take You To Church”, and “Devil Just Can’t Knock Me Off My Knees” .
Dillard is no stranger to music having written and collaborated with the others on such classic songs as “There Is A Time”, “The Darlin’ Boys”, “Ebo Walker”, and “Dooley”.
Today Rodney Dillard and The Dillard Band are growing their artistic and musical experimentation by staying solid to acoustic music yet exploring various musical and artistic creations and are looking to continue to entertain fans of all ages with their shows. “We are extremely excited to be partnered with Mountain Music Entertainment, moving forward with a refocused effort for our shows, and continuing our efforts with Mayberry Values and our new albums we are releasing with Rural Rhythm. We look forward to putting our energy into being artists and entertainers with the help from Mountain Music Entertainment.
