NASHVILLE, TN (August 20, 2013) – Hit
duo and musical pioneers, The LACS, release their third studio album,
“Keep It Redneck,” today, August 20, via BackRoad Records, a division of
Average Joes Entertainment. Produced by Shannon “Fat Shan” Houchins
and Phivestarr Productions, The LACS’ unique blend of music and their
widespread popularity was recently profiled in the Wall Street Journal. The CD is available everywhere music is sold.
The LACS also recently wrote and performed the opening theme song for Animal Planet’s
new reality show, “Mud Lovin’ Rednecks,” which highlights a down-home
gang of childhood friends in Alabama as they attempt to start a first
time mud bog business on their property. “Mud Lovin’ Rednecks” airs on
August 26 on Animal Planet. Cast members Lil’ Bit, Fat Legs and Bo, will join the LACS for a Twitter chat during the show that evening. #MudLovinRednecks
The
duo, Brian King and Clay Sharpe, continue to challenge the status quo
on their new album, “Keep It Redneck.” The music features the duo’s
trademark in-your-face musical magic as well as a few new fresh
variations. “Our music is not one dimensional,” Clay Sharpe of The LACS
says. “We take the good out of rock, the good out of country and the
good out of rap and mix them together and create something different. We
build from scratch.” Brian King says, “That’s what our fans want and
that’s exactly what we’re giving them.”
The
video for “Keep It Redneck” garnered the fastest rising views in The LACS’ history already reaching over 250,000 views.
Touring
over 150 dates per year, what began organically on a street corner and
continued in Walmart parking lots all across the South, has now spread
to fields filled with fans primed to hear The LACS’ latest, as evidenced
by their previous album, “190 Proof,” which remains consistent on the Billboard Country Albums chart for over 72 weeks.
