Nashville, TN (May 7, 2012) – Texas cattle rancher and Country entertainer Todd Fritsch rides tall with his newest CD, UP HERE IN THE SADDLE
(Saddle Up Records), which is set for release on Tuesday, June 26. The
disc features legendary songwriter Dean Dillon (Ocean Front Property,
Nobody In His Right Mind Would Have Left Her, Holed Up In Some Honky
Tonk) on the title-track duet with Fritsch. “I can cross that off my
bucket list,” laughs Todd. “It was a true honor to have Dean join me on
one of his songs.”

Nashville insider Butch Baker produced the project and calls Fritsch
the “real deal.” Adding, “Todd works just as hard at his music as he
does on the family ranch. He is a great human being and an incredible
entertainer; Todd is Texas’s answer to the late, great Chris LeDoux.”

Baker
brought not only a top-drawer production skill set to the table but
“A-list” Nashville pickers as well, and the tracks support Fritsch’s
vocals perfectly. The disc’s 12 songs were written by a “Who’s Who” of
Nashville’s best, including Kent Blazy, Dillon, Scott Emerick and more.
Highlights abound and include the current single, “Calls I Haven’t
Made.” This intriguing tale of redemption is active on the Texas Music
Chart and debuts on the International HotDisc Chart at #18 this week.
The “end-of-the-road” story told in the ballad “Horses He Can’t Ride
Anymore” is a cold, hard dose of cowboy reality, while the mid-tempo “It
Don’t Hurt To Ask” offers a double-entendre that takes us from a broken
heart to throwing caution to the wind. Todd believes the closing track,
“That Girl’s Got A Cowboy Heart,” is a perfect description of his wife.

Fritsch
enjoyed several hit Country singles (What’s Wrong With Me, Small Town
Radio, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, I Got Mexico) and a duet with Texas
legend Gary P. Nunn (Every Honky Tonkin’ Hero (Has His Day)) before a
horrific roping accident and injury forced him to the sidelines. For
Todd, whose life revolves around the ranch and making music, the
three-year recovery process was difficult.

“Everything
was going my way – and then it all just ground to a halt. But I focused
on what I could do instead of what I couldn’t do and that kept me
going.” Now fully recovered, Todd is back riding, roping and performing
every chance he gets. UP HERE IN THE SADDLE is his best effort to date
and can be purchased now at Todd’s shows; autographed pre-orders can be
placed at www.toddfritsch.com. The CD will be available from iTunes next month.
