OFFICIAL: #1 SINGLE, RACHEL TO CHAIR HEART COMMITTEE

(Nashville, Tennessee) – January 15, 2014- Rachel Dampier’s single, “Strong Heart”
took the #1 spot for Inspirational Country Music in the Power Source
Magazine charts this month. The song lived up to its comeback message
after sliding slightly from #5 in November to #15 during the December
Christmas season. The single was released last year and has been an ICM
industry favorite. Rachel was also named a Top 5 Finalist for ICM Faith,
Family & Country™ New Artist of the Year in August. The
Inspirational Country Music Association format consists of radio
stations across the United States with Christian and Country music
formats.
Rachel
finished over 30 stops on The Resilient Tour in December, choosing to
focus for now on local church volunteering and heart advocacy. She will
chair the Orlando, Florida Go Red for Women Passion Committee to help
promote
National Wear Red Day®, February 7, 2014.
Go Red for Women is a program through American Heart Association, the
organization that inspired Rachel to write her single, “Strong Heart.”
National Wear Red Day will encourage Americans across the United States
to wear red in unison to call attention to women’s heart health and
heart disease, the #1 killer of women.
Since
childhood, Rachel (Saunders) Dampier has written and performed music in
churches, colleges and other venues throughout the US, Europe, Middle
East and Asia.
