PROGRESSIVE COUNTRY DUO MOONLIGHT SOCIAL ANNOUNCES MAKE YOU SMILE EP

Nashville, TN — Progressive country duo Moonlight Social will release their new MAKE YOU SMILE EP everywhere on April 13th,
2018. The award-winning band from Austin, Texas relocated to Nashville
in June 2016 and spent much of the last 18 months writing and recording
the new EP.

In late 2017, Moonlight Social released title track “Make You Smile” exclusively to Spotify. The Huffpost
called the song “one of the best country pop songs of the year” and
“simply irresistible.” Follow-up single “Bad Side” quickly became the
duo’s most popular song yet. The 5-song Make You Smile EP is Moonlight Social’s first new collection of songs since 2012’s critically acclaimed debut album HEADING SOUTH.

“This new music has been a long time coming,” says vocalist Jennica Scott.
“Country music is really embracing cool, unique sounds and
perspectives, and we can’t wait to share ours,” adds guitarist and
vocalist Jeremy Burchard. Since forming Moonlight Social after meeting as members of the University of Texas Longhorn Band, Burchard and Scott have won praise for their genre-bending songwriting, charismatic performances, and powerful vocals.

Jeremy and Jennica co-wrote all of the tracks, including four alongside
an eclectic cast of Music City collaborators. The duo co-wrote “My
Everything” with country great Byron Hill (George Strait, Alabama, Gary Allan), while Nashville pop darling Jenn Bostic joined them on “Bad Side.” Canadian country star Patricia Conroy helped pen the anthemic “So Close,” and the duo wrote “Make You Smile” with Jo-Leah Tilbury — the same combination that penned Moonlight Social’s award-winning 2015 single “Rub A Little Dirt On It.”

Moonlight Social also enlisted an all-star cast in the studio, including Paul Rippee and Donnie Marple of Lee Brice’s band The Love Cannons, Tim Galloway (Jake Owen, Josh Turner), Michael Hughes and pedal steel legend Russ Pahl (Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Literally Everybody). Burchard co-produced the EP with Derek Garten of Prime Recording.

The duo will debut the EP live during a special performance at H.O.M.E., a brand new non-profit studio and venue in Nashville.
