PIONEER MUSIC MUSEUM

We still have a leaking roof, but we are slowly gaining.
We now have $1,914 in our ‘fix the roof’ donation box, which isn’t
enough, but we might have a guy that was at LeMars helping us.  Keep
your fingers crossed.  Annette Hawkins and Kim Cedeco from New Zealand
paid a visit last Thursday, and were totally impressed with all that is
in this museum and Hall of Fame.  We had saved a portion of space in the
New Zealand exhibit for them, and they were also impressed with that.
They brought with them a very lovely wooden plaque made in NZ, engraved,
and beautified with paua (abalone) shell.  Really pretty.  The new
addition, the 1898 pump organ is in place but we still have some
‘putting together’ yet to do.  Should be able to get to that yet this
fall now that LeMars is over with.  Keep your fingers crossed on the
‘helper’ for the roof, and anyone needing a little tax deduction, this
is a good place to get full value.
