Review Mike Chism
& the Hollow Point Band

Golden Light Cantina
Amarillo, TX

Wow, Mike
Chism & the Hollow Point Band really knows how to put on a show and get a
crowd going! He and his band were phenomenal. They were really energetic, with
Mike barely stopping for breath the whole concert! He really wanted to make
sure everyone was enjoying themselves and getting into the music. They played a
long set featuring most of his singles which went down like a storm with the
audience. The finale set of grass roots red dirt music was out of this world,
the whole crowd was totally bouncing off the ceiling.

The only
negatives for me were that we had to stand the whole time and I couldn’t see
because we were side on to the stage. I was very grateful for the big charity
recognition from the band. Also, I think the average age of the audience was
around 28 so at 48 I felt ancient surrounded by a load of kids but still had a
blast!

Great sound
and a first class performance, Mike Chism is an entertainer and knows how to
get the crowd going. Overall, if you are a Mike Chism & the Hollow Point
Band fan I would definitely recommend going to see him as despite the negatives
above, it was a fantastic show and I would go to see him again. I’d have given
5 stars if he could BBQ as good as me.

Favorite
moment: The place was just bouncing!

Opening
act(s): We didn’t see these as we turned up around 10:30pm.
